unfortunately, we have had to cancel this saturday's performance at the fenton in leeds

however, we are preparing for the next ep, which is due to be recorded in may, and writing new material.

once we have a performance sorted, we'll let you know.

the new ep "reasons for and against" is now available in jumbo records, crash and borders priced at £3.50.

remember, the ep is available for only £2.50 at gigs or by emailing an order to sepiatonesound@yahoo.co.uk - we'll let you know payment details upon request.

the next gig at the fenton, leeds, has been brought forward to saturday 5th march. supports are to be confirmed, so as soon as we know, we'll let you know...

thanks to all that attended our last performances at the packhorse and the fenton. we hope you enjoyed it as much as us !

apologies for being unable to post photographs from the packhorse gig. we'll have some other photographs posted in the next few weeks, so keep checking !

we begin recording the next single in may, with june penciled in for its release.

we're also playing at the fenton in leeds, on march 9th. when we get confirmation of supports, we'll let you know.

New Songs and Gigs

pifco and cowtown have been confirmed for the packhorse gig on Saturday 22nd January, and sennen for the fenton on Saturday 5th february. sennen are from the 'fine city' of norwich and in the next few years will be up there with sigur ros, mogwai and phaser as leaders of the 'new wave of shoegaze! here's what plastic ashtray had to say about the band:
Sennen would appear to be on the verge of something big – and it’s not surprising. Having put together three great EP’s, the latest incarnation of their work sees all eight tracks brought together as the ‘Collected Recordings 2003/2004’ – which is quite beautiful. And I don’t say that easily.

moving on...we're going to be performing three new songs for the packhorse gig. These are "Basilica", "Lomo for Stereo Eyes" and "A History of Science and Nature".

anyways, have a supa ace Christmas and an even better new year !

hello you lovely people ! this is sepialife, a blog for the band sepiatone. We’re based in leeds in the united kingdom, and we are;

dan (guitar, laptop and vocals)
lee (bass)
laura (vocals and random percussion instruments)
robb (keyboards)

nous sommes sepiatone !

we're going to use this blog as way of keeping you informed of our gigs, forthcoming ep's and all that kinda stuff. we'll also post regular random pictures and anything else that we think is supa.

at the moment we're planning gigs for the next four months...

first up we're playing with the "the exteriors" at the packhorse, leeds on January 22nd. i don't have a link for their website, but i'll sort something out...they're from leeds, and, in their words "The Exteriors utilise analogue and electric instrumentation, which combines to create metronomic and popular melodies through precision and repetition."

following that we'll be playing with the telescopes at the fenton in leeds on 5th February http://www.doubleagentrecords.com/telescopes/

two other bands are still to be confirmed for the fenton gig, so we'll let you know as soon as we do. dates for march and april are still to be arranged...

our debut ep (as yet un named) will be for sale at the packhorse gig on january 22nd.
